SPIDER VEINS

Spider Vein Therapy

Spider Veins & Laser Therapy from Bella MDSclerotherapy is a common, safe treatment for spider veinsavailable to our Bella MD patients. In this procedure, we inject a liquid chemical into the vein. The vein walls swell, stick together and seal shut, stopping the blood flow and turning the vein into scar tissueover time the vein closes and it is eventually absorbed into your body.

Sclerotherapy requires no anesthesia or downtime, and you will just need to wear a compression stocking for a few days post treatment to speed healing and reduce swelling.

Some veins may disappear after one to two treatments, while others may require three to four spaced four to six weeks apart. The treatments typically take less than 30 minutes and are virtually painless. All spider vein therapy procedures are performed by Amy Rodgers, RN.

Spider Vein Treatment Options

At our Dallas vein treatment center, we offer personalized treatment in a private, professional setting. As our sole owner and full time vein physician, Dr. Englemanbelieves in delivering the most advanced vein treatments in a safe environment, including duplex ultrasound, EVLT and Sclerotherapy to help you get rid of varicose veins and spider veins.

Duplex ultrasound examination

Ultrasound is used to non-invasively assess the course of your veins, and determine the most appropriate vein treatment option. It involves a small blunt probe and is completely painless.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a small amount of medicine directly into the vein to cause it to collapse. Sclerotherapy is generally used for small veins, the procedure is done in the office and involves no anesthesia.

Foam Sclerotherapy

For some varicose veins below the skin surface and too deep to visualize externally (and thus often only treatable by vein surgery in the past), ultrasound can be used to allow the vein physician to safely inject sclerosant into thee veins. Use of a less dilute solution mixed with air (foam) provides lower injection volumes to achieve the same effect.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Ambulatory Phlebotomy is a minimally-invasive form of vein surgery which utilizes small punctures to remove visible, bulging veins from your leg. It is performed in the office under local anesthesia. We invite you to contact our Dallas vein treatment center if you live anywhere in the northeast Texas area including Irving, Fort Worth, Garland, Plano, Carrollton, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mesquite, TX.
